AtCyte helps it's clients develop and market proprietary products by providing custom control systems design and manufacture. We specialize in dedicated industrial monitoring and control systems design. We have been using embedded microcontrollers in our designs since 1988.
Because AtCyte designs both hardware and software seamless operation is guaranteed. Employing integrated design techniques insure the advantages of both hardware and software are best utilized. Our design philosophy puts heavy emphasis on "operator safety" and orderly system shutdown to prevent "catastrophic equipment failures" if a control system failure should occur. Specialized hardware designs and unique machine language programming methodology allow our control systems to operate reliably in outdoor and electrically very noisy environments.
AtCyte has extensive experience in the design of control systems for many Satellite Communication (SATCOM) product families. These include Klystron Power Amplifiers (KPA) from 100 to 100,000 Watts of RF output power, redundant controllers, Klystron tube channel changers, and waveguide switching systems. As an adjunct we have done switchmode power supply design for SATCOM applications.
While the majority of our experience lies in the SATCOM arena we have been involved in the design of control systems for several commercial products including a water disinfection system, laser imaging printer, carbon dioxide laser, and various stepper motor control applications. Our expertise has focused on industrial applications where reliable operation in harsh environments is of paramount concern.
Our major SATCOM customers have been Varian Associates Microwave Equipment Division, AD&D Technology, and Communication & Power Industries. Some of our other customers have been Los Alamos Technical Associates, Lasertechnics and Image Science & Applications.
